After 47 years of Poll Hereford breeding and with some health issues needing attention we have decided to retire, well almost. Wattlegrove has been sold and we held a “retirement” sale on the 16th February 2019 at the LLandillo Sale Complex, The Lagoon via Bathurst. I have found a few acres closer to Bathurst, retained a few head, the prefix, and sold 50 years of horded semen. Some photos and all pedigrees of the cattle retained were included in the sale catalogue.

With health issues now resolved my son Mark and I have formed a partnership and settled into “The Poplars” at Lucknow. Downsizing has been challenging. The required fencing and facilities are pretty much complete and we are focusing on breeding the commercially relevant stud cattle we always strived toward. The few cows retained in combination with Wirruna Lance L74 and his daughters, together with two new sires, Yavenvale Qudos Q367 and Tobruk Skywalker S4, will continue to stack the data while retaining all the qualities essential to the Westmorland prefix.
